This Easter weekend the Moral Economy caught up with David Graeber on some stairs at the Challenging Capitalist Modernity III conference in Hamburg, Germany! Unprepared and unexpected, Nawaz mastered the situation with pressing questions drawn from his deep repertoire of news, politics, and philosophy, and Graeber answered in turn with his critical insight into bureaucracy, the Kurdish women’s liberation movement, and propaganda — our specialty! Join Nawaz and the Moral Economy in this Exclusive Propaganda podcast! The audio is bad but for that the video is unfocused! Critique accepted!
For those of you who do not know, David Graeber is an anarchist anthropologist who “fled” the United States to London only to be hit flat in the face with Brexit. He’s written books such as Debt: The First 5000 Years and The Utopia of Rules: On Technology, Stupidity, and the Secret Joys of Bureaucracy. This was his second time as a speaker at the Challenging Capitalist Modernity conference in Hamburg.
